Description

Are you daunted by the prospect of introducing the potty? Or stuck struggling to make the transition and at a loss as to what to do next? We understand, it can feel like a really challenging milestone – you are not alone. The Potty Training Workshop equips parents to support their toddlers (who are over 18 months old) on their unique journey from nappies to using the potty. We will use an approach that is evidence-based and effective but also promotes sensitive and responsive parenting. We recognise that every child and family is unique and therefore our approach can be adapted to fit your child and parenting style. During this workshop: • We will look at the brain and potty learning and how we can also wire into our children body awareness and body confidence at the same time as coaching them to use the potty. • We will think through signs of developmental readiness and how these apply to your child • We will discuss strategies you can be using in the weeks or days ahead of potty training to prepare • We will then go through a plan for how you can approach a more focused time of potty learning over a 5 day period There will be a maximum of 5 other parents on the workshop, meaning we will have lots of opportunity for questions and getting to your individual challenges and concerns. The 2-hour workshop will take place at the ICV Arcade (106 Rue de Carouge, Geneva) and costs 65CHF. As with all other services offered by OPJ there are subsidised places available for families who are facing financial challenges – please get in touch if you would like to discuss this further. The course price includes: - An interactive presentation to maximise learning - Q&A time and an opportunity to address individual concerns with Rachel - A workbook of the course slides By taking this workshop you will also automatically get a 50% off voucher for a 1:1 consultation with Rachel for further support as you implement the plan or to address a different parenting challenge you are facing.
