The course will: - Help you to consider and prepare for the transition to parenthood or growing your family holistically - Provide you with all the information and guidance you need to make informed choices about your birth, whether this is a planned c-section or a physiological birth - Prepare you to approach your birth with confidence - Give you both the necessary knowledge and practical skills needed to successfully breastfeed your baby - Support you to prepare practically for life with a baby including a focus on infant sleep - Help you to start to build a community of other parents in your local area Course outline Session 1: • My baby’s brain and my role in helping it develop • Understanding infant sleep – how to optimise your baby’s sleep from the beginning Session 2: • Transitioning to parenthood – how can I prepare? • Parental wellbeing - looking after yourself so you can look after your baby Session 3: • Birth preparation – all you need to know to feel empowered for your birth Session 4: • Breastfeeding and infant nutrition – getting off to the best start • Caring for my newborn – what do I do now baby is here? Join us on a Saturday morning for 4 consecutive weeks. Book on to start the course from when you are 30 weeks pregnant. *150CHF can be claimed back via most health insurances for antenatal preparation – check with your health insurance company.
